CLASSIC RACE BIKE - GENE ROMERO'S 1972 FACTORY TEAM TRIUMPH

Romero Factory Team Triumph - Built for the 1972 season

Barnes wheels and disc brake, Ceriani RR forks with shaved sliders, S&H handlebars, Special Trackmaster frame, .049 Cromo tubing, large oil tank, engine relocated 1973 C&J square swingarm - Axtell motor 72 HP 7250 RPM - Axtell exhaust , Axtell cams, Axtell head, Axtell ignition, Axtell intake manifolds, Axtell exhaust manifolds, Axtell crankshaft, Axtell primary cover

This bike won the San Jose 1/2 mile in 1972
It was the last British bike to win a mile - San Jose (July 1st 1973)
Dick Mann once raced this Triumph at Ascot when his BSA blew up.

This bike is currently on display at Donelson's Cycles in St. Louis, MO.
